Melanie Holles, Director of the Stanly County Public Library, likes visiting new places, meeting people, getting to know them and hearing their stories. Moving a lot as a child and as a working adult, she pays special attention to those places in our country that have been home and a connection. As a librarian she knows the value of a story whether it is oral, printed, or electronic. As a resident of Stanly County for over ten years she has come to love the people, the history, and the stories of the area.
